Gaviotas is an old, well-established neighbourhood in Puerto Vallarta that holds a level of prestige and ambiguity. Comprised of mostly large single-family homes on large flat lots, surrounded by high concrete walls, you are often only left with your imagination to consider what kind of home could be behind those walls. This home is no different and far from a disappointment.

Once Buzzed in through the oversized entry doors, surrounded by concrete walls, topped with electric fencing and a series of cameras, you make your way to the front door and inside that, you will be cleaning up drool for the remainder of the walk through this custom-built family home.

To keep the open concept of the home as vivid as possible, they positioned the floating staircase in a position that you can see right through the house to the backyard and kitchen upon entry. The sunken living room takes you back to a mid-century modern vibe that makes you want to kick your feet up and connect with your loved ones. The kitchen boasts all the extras and high-end appliances you could want in a home. This along with the dining area which seats 10 is the masterful common ground for the whole family.

When Designing this home, they wanted to give us much privacy and home feel to all areas of the house to make family, extended or near feel most welcom. They designed the upper floor in a U-shape, creating a guest wing and an ensuite wing that almost perfectly mirror one another with Large Bedrooms and patios, Comfort and privacy.

The lot was home to one of the neighbourhood's largest Parota trees, of which they did not disturb, they built around it and kept it as a feature of the outdoor living space to complement the garden. An additional "mud room" was built on the main floor on the side of the house so that people could shower off before re-entering the house after being in the pool.

If this wasn't yet in the category of an entertainer's dream, would a full wet bar AND a full kitchen with full-size fridge and range, all in the backyard fill the gaps? This house has it all. This home is in a safe, established neighbourhood a mere 5-minute drive into the trendy restaurant-filled neighbourhood of Versailles, and between 5 and 10 minutes to the ocean, downtown historic Puerto Vallarta and important shopping and amenities (including costco).
